Support Youth UK SEMH

To adequately meet the needs of an ever-changing educational landscape, Fast Forward Vocational Training (FFVT) has integrated the Support Youth UK SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) program into our curriculum.

Addressing Critical Needs:
The Department for Education (DfE) statistics clearly show a significant correlation between students facing permanent or fixed-period exclusions and those with SEMH needs. In fact, 790 out of every 1,000 students identified as facing exclusions have SEMH needs. This data underscores the urgent necessity for robust SEMH support within educational settings.

Seamless Integration:
Students attending our provision will be automatically enrolled in the SEMH program, which seamlessly integrates with their vocational studies. This ensures that students receive comprehensive support without disrupting their primary educational focus.

Tailored Learning Units:
Our SEMH program includes specially designed units that cover crucial topics such as:

  • Rights & Respect
  • Building Resilience
  • Self-Regulation Strategies
  • Managing Anxiety
  • Violence and Consequences

By integrating these units into our vocational training, we provide students with the tools they need to succeed both academically and personally. This holistic approach not only enhances their vocational skills but also equips them with essential life skills, making them more resilient and adaptable in the face of future challenges.

At FFVT, we are dedicated to creating a supportive and enriching learning environment. Our integrated SEMH and vocational curriculum not only boosts students' academic performance but also enhances their overall well-being, setting them up for long-term success.
